Bates Motel & Haunted Hayride in Glen Mills, PA is the best haunted attraction I've ever been to, and I've been to plenty. It's no surprise that over the past several years this haunted attraction in Glen Mills, PA has been atop many 'top 10' lists across the country. The guys at Arasapha Farm who put on this event do a great job at keeping it simple and making it spectacular. The 3 attractions account for hours of fun & scares.
Haunted Hayride - the roughly 25 minute long hayride is an amazing feat of special effects, great actors, and a spooky setting that's a great time for adults & children alike. The costumes are great, the sets very well done, and the pyrotechnic work is a very nice touch.
Bates Motel - One of the best haunted houses I've ever stepped foot in. They get every aspect of this attraction right - actors that do a great job of scaring, lighting, music, and special effects - all spot on. You'll walk in curious, you'll walk out terrified.
Haunted Cornmaze - The last installment added at the Arasapha Farm haunt, the haunted cornmaze is a scary walk through of different sets complete with outstanding acting and animatronics. Walking through the tall corn, you'll never see the next scare coming until it's too late!
Insider Tips
- The VIP pass to avoid lines is always a good idea as this haunt has become VERY popular. My first year coming the longest line was maybe 15 minutes. That was years ago, and this haunt attracts so many people that hour+ long lines are the norm, especially later in the season.
- Wear comfortable shoes. Lots of standing and walking, so you'll want to be comfy.
- Discounts offered with military ID.
- Get there early or avoid Fridays & Saturdays to cut down on wait time if you can't afford a VIP pass.
- Get food/drinks between attractions. If lines are long, the time will go faster with some good eats.
