“Foodie Fridays” in Austin
We are looking forward to this addition to the restaurant scene in North Austin. Restaurateurs and brothers Ellis and Austin Winstanley plan to open Abel’s North on Parmer Lane in North Austin. Their successful current location Abel’s on the Lake is located on Lake Austin Blvd. not far from downtown. They own an impressive list of restaurants dating back to 1980. Check out their North location!
Abel’s North
Abel’s North, a grill and tap house will feature 60+ draft 
beers and a menu similar to the one found at Abel’s on the Lake, a sister property. There will be a 7,000 square foot dining area and 8 banquet rooms to accommodate parties of any size. A few additional items will be available at the new north location that you won’t find at the Lake location including bone-in steaks.
Some of the dishes on the north menu will be: Crab and Avocado Cocktail (blue crab, red onion, avocado, lime juice, cilantro and red bell pepper) and Oven Roasted Oysters (oven roasted with spinach, cheese herbed bread crumbs on the half shell). If steak is your favorite, you will find all natural, aged black angus beef and all steaks are served with a choice of sauce. If you’d like to try something else, how about Wood Grilled Quail (two Texas quail , fingerling potato and butternut squash hash served with a mustard bourbon sauce) or Seafood Pasta (shrimp, crab, tuna and scallop in a lemon garlic butter sauce with fresh herbs, tomato served over linguine). You will also find an excellent selection of burgers, salads and soups. So, keep an eye out when you are in the area and stop in at Abel’s North. In the meantime, sample their delicious food at Abel’s on the Lake.
