Finally…. an ActiveRain Visitor to Delray Beach!
Today I got to meet an ActiveRain member AND fellow Stager… Amy Bly! This is 
what I love about this community…. you can go to just about any and every state (and Canada) and meet someone you already know through their blog.
Amy was in Delray Beach for a conference with her husband, Robertand she contacted me when she realized that she knew someone here. I met her at the Delray Beach Marriott, where they were staying, and had brunch, right across from the beach.
It’s always a treat to meet a fellow stager because for the most part, stagers work alone. We don’t have a broker’s office where we can meet to exchange ideas or seek help with a question. It’s through communities like ActiveRain, LinkedIn and RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) that we meet others in the industry.
We realized that we would be the perfect staging partners (if only she lived here rather than New Jersey) because she loves to do vacant stagings, and I love to work with occupied listings.
We love doing both but as in anything, we all have certain things we enjoy more. We shared staging stories and also shared our “oops!” moments in staging.
We’re always talking about points and SEO, who gets featured, and why one doesn’t, but look around at the great resource that we have here. Ask any member who’s been here for a while, and you’ll find that one of the reasons why they’re here is “the community.”
Now… if only I could talk her husband into becoming a snowbird, at least I’d get them here for half the year!
