Q & A - How long do I have before needing a new Drivers License
I will be moving to Colorado next week, and just renewed my drivers license in my home State, how long before I need to get a Colorado's license and license plates?
The State of Colorado states residency would include:
- Own or operate a business in Colorado
- Gainfully employed in Colorado
- have resided in Colorado 90 days
As a new resident, State of Colorado says you need to apply for a new drivers license within 30 days and 90 days to register your vehicle.
* Exemption - Active U.S. military families who claim another State as home are exempt from these rules.
