I was curious as to if any of you eat following a paleo or primal lifestyle plan. We have been eating mostly sugar and grain free for years but 3 months ago I removed dairy for a particular wellness protocol I am on and I have noticed dramatic effects. I lost weight (most likely inflammation!, my skin has taken on a more even tone and is healthier looking, my mood has changed. I can just tell a huge difference with all kinds of things about my body after 3 months without dairy. I am definitely craving some pizza at this point though!
If you have adopted a paleo lifestyle or similar diet, have you noticed positive changes in your health and well being? Do you have a favorite "go to" snack or indulgence food that gets you through the cravings? I make a really dark chocolate with cacao butter, raw cacao powder, cayenne pepper powder, pink salt and in lieu of sugar I use the Coconut Secret "sugar" crystals. They are delicious, unlike most sugar substitutes (many of which are very harmful!). They are low glycemic and taste similar to brown sugar mixed with turbinado sugar.
