Hi,

My son is a sophomore at NYU.  For the 2nd year he is staying in the dorm. In the fall he and his friends would like to  rent in Greenwich Village or its proximity.  They (4 of them together) are thinking about sharing a 4 bedroom apartment.  They think  that  they will be able to do it for $3500 to $4000 a month.  I would appreciate your advice  regarding going rates, availability and time frame (when they have to "lock it in". How much should they "reserve" for utilities? What are the best websites for students? Any advice would be appreciated.
