Determination Is The Key To Success In All Things

Determination

It is said that determination is one of the keys to success.  Watching a squirrel trying to figure out the best way to get a treat from the bird feeder is a lesson in determination.  If they can't get it one way they'll keep at it until they do.

Unfortunately for all the squirrels hanging around my yard there is now a new squirrel proof bird feeder installed so the birds actually get the feed instead of you.

Hope you are having a successful week.

Determination is definitely important! Drop it and you may not be able to easily achieve any of your goals right?

Yeah, these guys not only eat out my bird feeders ( I don't have the squirrel proof ones) but they eat up my car cover to make there nests. I have one in the soffit work on my house I've got to get cleaned out and the hole filled in so they can move on.

I've greased the pole where I hang my feeders..and it's a hoot to watch them try to climb it...but eventually...there they are feeding away.

I need to be that determined!

Love these tenacious little critters.  I saw a Raven in the street today, feasting on something or the other -- smack dab in the middle of a very busy street.  He was in the turn lane and finessed his (or her) way around, minding the car, minding all the traffic -- I'd call that "food to go"

I've had one of these pesky critters invade an attic. We captured him and let him go in the woods. But I'm sure he beat us back to the house and was laughing at us from the roof when we pulled into the drive.

Thanks Rob.  Happy Halloween.

Barbara so far the new feeder seems to have kept them on the ground begging for droppings.  It is spring loaded and closes the eating ports when a squirrel jumps on.

Right Emcee you got it.

Thanks for stopping by Dorrie.

Thom and then there are the ones who don't seem to understand how to successful cross the road.  Opps.

Carla yes the squirrels don't seem to be very good at the crossing the street.  They need to take lessons from the chickens.

Tammie yes they do learn quickly.

There's a lot to be learned from a squirrels determination. Never, Never, never give up.

Hi Cindy,

I buy the feeders with the locked top but when they twist and turn it, most of the seed comes out the bottom. Your comments about determination are so true. Love the pictures...but the poor birdies!
