This idea just made my day. I am so glad to share it with everyone. We all have 25 pennies, and so this is a very very easy way to make someone smile.

Pay It Forward: Pennies From Heaven

It can be simple and inexpensive to put a smile on someone else's face. This was not my own idea, but I was happy to implement it!

Step 1: Gather up some pennies. Doesn't matter how many. I decided on 25.

Step 2: Leave them on the ground (face up, of course).

Step 3: Allow someone else to find the "lucky" penny!

I'm hoping that I will make 25 people smile!

"See a penny, pick it up. All day long, you'll have good luck."

That's a cute idea, Terri. You could even take it a bit further and save up those 25 pennies toward a major donation. Take a jar and put 25 pennies into it. Then, give the jar to someone else, who will put 25 more pennies into it. Pass it on, and on and on until it is finally too full and heavy pass on any further. Then, donate it to a worthy cause.

Donna - Thank you for a great blog. I was taught when I was a little girl that every time I see a penny on the ground, it reminds me to Trust In God. So this idea means a little more to me than just making someone smile. Thanks again.

Terri I like the idea, but I thought I was the only person still bending over to pick up a penny. Maybe we need to change with the times and make it at least a nickel.
