We bought our home in 2010. My boyfriend, and I were looking for a home in Turlock where we had previously resided and my boyfriend had been attending college. We had both been going through the tough time of losing both our Grandmothers within months of each other. We had previously tried to buy a condo in Turlock but due to pending litigation we had to pull out of the deal.
Lisa was so great in helping us a year later when we were ready to buy a single family home. We were unable to afford a single family home in Turlock, but Lisa was able to help us explore different similar scenarios for us to obtain our wish of being homeowners. We found a home in Salida. We were in love with the home when we first set our eyes on it! Lisa was so great in negotiating a good price for our home.
Ok.. so the lawn wasn't in very good shape, the inside of the house needed a paint job, but we were very grateful that Lisa could get us into a bank-owned home and that we took advantage of the buyer's market in 2010. We really thought it was both our Grandmothers pulling strings in heaven for us to get this house along with Lisa's ability to negotiate the best deal for us. We ended up getting the house for $8,500 under listing price! With some help from both of our fathers we did some extra work to make the house look nice once moving in.
Now..... in 2013 we are engaged, we have two dogs, (Buster & Lily) a cat, (Roxy) and have set a date next September for our wedding. Meanwhile our house has equity and we are happy as can be..... No regrets, no questioning of choosing this home! We are getting ready to start a family! - Amanda
