If You Could Have a Superpower What Would it Be and Why?

By
Real Estate Agent with The Platinum Group Realtors

It all started with cocktail napkins.  No, not while intoxicated.  Just having fun with cocktail napkins.  This particular set had the question, "If you were a superpower what would you be"?  Heavy duty question with mild to wild answers.

Yesterday I happened to see a photo about Superpowers and it had my answer. Thank you to Karina Mayer for allowing me to use it in this blog post.   If I was a Super Power I would be:

If I Were A Super Power Katrina Mayer

I decided a couple of years ago it was much easier and much more productive to be for something instead of against something.  For this reason I go in search of good news and guess what - I find it.   For anyone who wants to go down a trail about news this isn't the purpose of this post.

Just what is a superpower anyway?

Webster says,

" an international governing body

able to enforce its will

upon the most powerful states"

If I take that as my definition then to me kindness would be a way of operating in life vs reacting to what life presents.

Knowing that we all learn in different ways here is a facinating link to photos demonstrating kindness.  Be prepared to be moved.

Yes, I do react and it frustrates me every time.  However, the overall goal of having Kindness as my superpower seems to be increasing and occurring more often than not.  This can be applied to business, life or family.

If you had a Superpower what would it be?

Your answer is much more thoughtful than mine.  I'd be able to fly ; )

You are so right though in that if you seek kindness, you'll often find it.  If I could have 2, I'd fly and have patience!

Kelly,

Wonderful post....I don't ever expect to be a superhero but I'd love to be able to photograph/witness acts of kindness like those shown in the slide show.

What an amazing collection of photographs......  Thank you for sharing it with us.

I love your superpower choice, Kelly! We often stream CBS news in the evenings-Scott Pelley likes to end the newscast with a feel-good story; love that!

To leave people happier than they were when I met them. Or invisibility.  Or both. Can't decide.

Patricia, when I first saw the napkin I had to think "what are the superpowers anyway"?  Then when I saw the photo with kindness I knew I had found mine.

Sondra, your photographs would go well with that slide show!  It takes a great photographer to truly appreciate them.

Debbie, yes, for me, slowly but surely.  I it when someone is genuinely impacted by authentic kindness.  Heart stirring moments for sure.

Lottie, yea for CBS for their commitment to a feel good story.  Thank you for sharing.

Brad, I love these.  Leaving people happier than they were before you met them & having two (invisible).  Thank you!

Flying would definitely be the one I would choose.  I used to have dreams that I was flying over the beach as peaceful as can be.  That was before I got into real estate!  :)

Fernando, love it ~ superman saving the world.  How fun is that.

Kat, thank you for the support.  It is something I don't necessarily feel is a big strength but a definite desire.

Amanada & Jared, flying over the beach sounds very peaceful & maybe more needed as your real estate career blossomed.
