Woo hoo!
I'm a home, with an owner...I used to be a wonderful place for my owners...when they first bought me, they painted my walls, they washed the floor's in the bathroom's...occassionally they actually had time to clean the lavatory.
They cooked on my stove, I mean, they made some fabulous stuff...filet mignon in that oven on holiday's, a big turkey for Thanksgiving, a huge ham, Sour kraut and pork for New years ( and ok that pea thing), we cooked spaghetti sauce for hours, we made many other foods.
We enjoyed company, we enjoyed family, we enjoyed Holidays!
Now, since my owner's got sucked into the system, loved me for two year's...I'm for sale...not that they want me to be...they just got sucked into the sub-prime...they wanted a home...(geeze I loved them being in this house with me)...but, their payment's went so high...if they pay them...they cannot feed their children...they cannot even afford to go to work...
I will miss my happy family that loved living in me - THEIR HOME - they kept me clean, they entertained friends, they had a wonderful life for a year...SO SAD TO SEE THEM GO...SOMEWHERE...I hope they're not out on the street's somewhere, b/c they were good to me...
They washed me up, they kept me clean, they stayed until they couldn't...then...they were evicted...
Where is my family, where are my friends, where did they go...geeze I was clean when they were here...now after 6 month's that they have been gone...no one clean's me, no one vacuum's my carpet, no one does anything...No one is here...
I miss my family...my home is now full of fruit flies and bug's I don't care to describe. There is an occassional cat that jumps through the window..there are rodents in the garage. There is trash b/c they were evicted and didn't even have a chance to clean up the kitchen...lunch as it was that day is still on the table when the marshall's came in and changed the locks...Geeze, they could have left the children eat first...
Where are my owner's going? Are their children going to be safe? Are they living under a bridge?
Where are they? Why did someone take them from me? I loved my owners! Where, OH Where did they go?
Where are your owners? your short sales, you foreclosures? Where? Do you know?

Karen - that's so sad - I was crying as I read it. Having worked with the homeless in the past I can really feel for these families.
