Pillow Talk - How exciting!

Pillow Talk - How exiting!

A favorite decorating routine is digging through boxes of throw pillows to find the right ones to reflect the season. Throw pillows are an easy, and relatively inexpensive way to update and refresh many of our living spaces. The following image certainly sums up the cozy season of families and friends gathering to celebrate the harvest season.

Throw Pillow talk

Imagine this same bench with different pillows speaking of a yet another season. It's a pretty fast and easy way to evoke an emotional response, or to better reflect your own sense of style. Rustic, lodge and cabin, shabby chic, beach house, or elegant sophistication - pillows can help you set the mood.

Sellers - Pillow talk can help your staging efforts.

If you want to sell your home in the least amount of time, and for more money, hire a professional stager. They are worth the money. However, if that's not an option, consider the power of throw pillows to help better create the ambiance of the season and the style of your home, or area.

Here's a sample of some personal favorites for the upcoming season. Do you agree that they speak of a casual, outdoor lifestyle? Have fun setting seasonal themes in your own home. Pillows really can do the talking for you - how exciting.

Debb,

Love your vivid photographs of pillows.  They are truly beautiful and make for great staging presentation.  One pillow I saw while shopping in Beverly Hills said, "It is better to be nouveau, than not riche at all".  It really made me laugh, and subsequently I saw at the home of someone who dubbed herself as nouveau riche and made no apology.  Happy Friday to you. A

Hi Alexandra - just got out some of the Harvest pillows for the month of November, It's always fun, like seeing old friends.

By the way - Regarding the one you saw in Beverly Hills, I love that pillow, and good for the woman who had the courage to display it in her home.  :)

Debb: Throw pillows are an easy and cost effective way to spruce up a dull space, add some color to a room, or showcase a theme.  I have many in my home.

Debb, What a nice way to spruce things up for the change of seasons. Giving away my age when I tell you my first thought at "pillow talk" was the Doris Day and Rock Hudson movie. LOL. Have A Great Weekend!

Hi Debb- I just purchase a old bench for my entryway, the bench looks quite parse by itself,  thanks for the suggestion on how to add some ambiance to the area.

Debb, I love throw pillows and my husband hates them. I make them and he puts up with them. Yours are so cute and I like the season theme.

Debb, as a small reward (to myself) for getting my buyer's repair addendum signed with no fuss by my sellers (yippeee!), I decided to buy some pillows through Grandinroad. They are DARLING. Autumn leaves, acorns with winter berries, pinecones that will move right from fall to Christmas quite easily. This company is even giving an incentive: 20% off your order if you donate $10 to Habitat for Humanity!  Done deal! I wanted them last year, but didn't get them. This worked out perfectly, so I'm giving back while getting a discount. Woohoo! I even ordered a bird nest garden stake, just cuz.

It is such a SIMPLE and inexpensive way to change-it-up in your household--you are so right! Plus, it just feels good to any of us who love to decorate for the changing season...in gives you a fresh outlook on your home.
