I had great hopes for market leader.

I was real busy when they signed me up.  They gave me 2.5 months free.  I was hoping a drip campaign would further increase my business.  I had clients coming from all directions.    I hadn't noticed any difference after the free period had ended but I felt I hadn't given them a fair trial.

I paid $99/month.  I spent time developing my website and putting my clients into the drip campaign.  The program seemed more complicated then I was used to.   In October 5 of the 160 people in the drip campaign unsubscribed.  I have one person who went on the market leader website.   Yesterday the unsubscribed went to 6.  The system got one lead...  Then they started trying to sell me leads.  That is when I did the analysis that indicated that if anything this program might be having a negative result.   It might be me.  It is complicated and has many aspects.  I would have to pay for leads to get in their million dollar pipeline program.  I have been so busy trying to figure out this system I seem to be ignoring what has worked in the past for me.  That is calling people I know are looking.

I am not a big time agent who has lots of sales.  I could always use more.  I am a one woman show and I do a great job with my clients.  I was hoping that the program would take the slack but it doesn't seem to.

Yesterday I had a market leader telephone solicitor call and ask if I have ever heard of the company.  They had me fill out a survey.  I think the analysis is that market leader is not working for me and I should save my $99/month.  It would be more if I wanted to buy leads.  Today is blog 2 of November...

Hi Debbie, I have used Market Leader since I became an agent and have been through many changes with them.  My initial investment was to buy leads.  I found this necessary because I didn't know anyone in the area and I wanted to grow my business.  I love the drip programs they now offer.  I sign all my leads up for a couple.  I really didn't know what they thought about the drip program until Thursday when I received a call from a past client thanking me for the Halloween e-card and to say hi and how much they were enjoying the community I helped them find.  It was heartwarming!

You selected Market Leader for a totally different reason.  I also know that the program is a long term thing - many of my leads (includes people I added for a number of sources) tool around the system of automatic listing emails for 4+ years and suddenly they are ready to buy or sell or both.  I took the first millon dollar pipeline course at the beginning of the year.  They made me buy more leads to do so.  I implimented all I could remember to do from their system of recommendations with a few adjustments of my own and I closed more in the first half of 2013 than I did in my record breaking 2012 year.  So the system works.

So I guess it comes down to what you want and need for your business and the time you can spend evaluating and implimenting new things.  It is overwhelming sometimes.  Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry Market Leader didn't work for you.

Gets the job done!

It just seemed that the time I am spending is taking the time I would be using to get new leads.  Deborah I am glad it works for you.
