In part 1 (see below), I share about natural remedy and how effective it is when applied. This is not a health post but one that should invoke your own common sense. The secret to better health is no secret. Diet, rest, exercise and proper care mixed with generous does of awareness give a healthy return on your time and investment guaranteed...Medicine is a short cut and a wild card but allowed

THIS IS ONE BAD BUG

A word about the flu, cold or virus etc. What a nightmare to enter into for a human being. All the systems that contribute to us running at optimum in the body come under an attack. Its like a set of brakes applied to something going fast. It will slow you down and then stop you even spinning you round and round until then. From there, it takes you prisoner and how to escape or mitigate the experience is now our priority..woe here for sure.

THE WORLD OF PRESCRIPTION  DRUGS

No one knows what medicine will do to or for the person taking it. Sure, it has been tested and there is feedback and input but also a warning about symptoms and side effects too. You take it at your own reasonable risk and you are told to NOT TAKE it or stop taking it if something goes wrong. Take it? Don't Take it? Which one is it? Do we hope for the best here?

DOSAGE IS SUBJECTIVE TO THE PERSON

How about the dosages on medicines too. Too much and you can have a serious reaction response even life threatening and too little and no benefits at all take place causing one to take more and triggering the too much dose or overdose. People who are ailing, in pain and in need don't think right to begin with. Also, the invading force is always trying to mutate into a non corrective cell or immune state. Too much dose and after a while, it becomes less effective over time

THEY WILL EXPERIMENT WHILE TRYING TO HELP YOU

Doctors only know what to do once you have told them who you are, what your history is, what your symptoms are and then they apply their education to the problem. Sometimes it is a common problem and easily diagnosed. Other-times it is guesswork and experimentation follows that with many visits, drugs and trial and error episodes plus $$$$ and add anxiety on top of that.

TAKE CHARGE

Sometimes your problem has a very simple solution but you remain blinded to it. No one will ever know you better than yourself which takes us back now to full circle here. We are responsible for most if not all our health problems and their origins. Many can be eliminated from just change of lifestyle and beliefs. Don't look for quick answers as much as being open to the many ways of healing. The body will help you

THE ENEMY OF REST...STRESS

Take stress for instance. It has caused more illness than real life problems and it isn't even a natural affliction. It is mostly man made and caused. Often how we go about living and working if not monitored and cared about can cause self-induced negative problems. When did worry, depression and doubt ever help or cure anyone? Instead, quiet yourself. Spend some still time. Reflect and pace yourself

THE POWER OF THE MIND

Lets not forget the remedy of remedies for all maladies and afflictions. In scientific parlance we call it the PLACEBO. In the Spiritual world it is called FAITH. Faith relies heavily on beliefs as to how and what you want to happen without willfulness but with a willing heart instead. Usually the letting go and taking a more objective approach to anything brings it right to your door without feeling worse for it. Au natural

When afflicted with the flu or a cold, here is what we know to do and it helps.

1. Drink plenty of liquids.

2. Get plenty of rest

3. Keep your vitamins up...C does make a difference here

4. Fresh air...always sleep with a window open.

5. For fever, take acetaminophen found in many products so you can sleep without the fever racing dreams

6. To mitigate coughing, try to breath through your nose as much as possible.

7. To open up the passages, try spices like cayenne pepper, chili or horseradish as well as hot vapor to open it all up

8. Fiber to keep things flushing

9. Sanitize or alcohol bath everyday items you touch. Don't use too much anti-bacterial soaps because your body will become immune to it

10. Change your bed linen, towels and clothes daily plus wash your comforter as well. Tissues for sure and cover the mouth when you can

Look if you have to go to a doctor and you don't need a reason BTW, just go. However changing some of your habits and thoughts may just profit you in the long run. Here is a sobering thought but relevant. People usually die of a predominate cause. That is what is listed on the death certificate. However any one of ten things may have been trying to kill you...Learn to take care of yourself best you can

Richie, we ALWAYS have a window open and at least 'cracked' even in the dead of winter...Along with the vitamins we take we believe it is really one of the things that keeps us from getting ill and even if we do it usually isn't too bad...Enjoy your day!
