BO-beau Kitchen and Garden Opens in La Mesa
Much to the delight of La Mesa restaurant goers, the Cohn Restaurant Group launched BO-beau Kitchen and Garden on October 15th. The restaurant is sister to BO-beau OceanBeach, but with more of a family focus. The eclectic interior has bi-level dining and a bar, and the outdoor garden area offers both communal picnic table seating along with more intimate options.
The menu is the creation of Chef Benjamin Moore and includes the signature BO-beau crispy brussel sprouts and plenty of fun new items, including jalapeno deviled eggs, buttermilk fried chicken and roasted black cod, to name a few. There are also 20+ local brews on tap and a healthy wine list.
This location has seen two other restaurants (Gio and Gingham) go down in the past five years, so I’m excited that reviews seem overwhelmingly positive. Not too surprising considering the reputation of the Cohn Restaurant Group for consistently offering fabulous food in great locations, amidst unique décor. I can’t wait to give it a try!
