The ebb and flow of open houses

By

I'm wondering about the forces in the universe that control the attendance at an open house.

I had an open house this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Not a single visitor for the first hour and 45 minutes. Then, at exactly 11:45, three separate groups showed up at the same time. This same pattern happened two more times during the day.

I've had this same ebb and flow happen at almost every open house. No one comes. Then everyone comes. Then no one comes.

Perhaps there is some kind of open house energy that I'm not aware of. I would love to find a way to harness that energy so I can avoid the hours of no visits and control the convergence of multiple visitors. No one to talk to. Too many people to talk to.

Oh well. November is the month of gratitude, so I'll just be grateful that we had so many visitors!

John, when planning for Sunday open houses in Dallas, we check sports' schedules and factor in church services and other major events.  We have found that groups come before and after these events. Mesa, no doubt, has its own set of activities.
