Photography shows are fun for the photographer as well as the public.  It allows people to enjoy actual prints of the work rather than viewing them on a computer screen.  Since I started with digital photography online, it has always surprised me how images seem a bit more "alive" in print.  So I am happy to report that samples of my photography will be on display and for sale at Vintology of Scarsdale  from now until Nov. 17.

Below is a short video of the photos that are currently on display.  Fair warning: they do have a different feel in print.  The current collection emphasizes the Hudson River and a few additional photos from the upper west side of Manhattan.  They run the gamut between all black and white, to black and white with a shot of color to very vivid color.  If you like the Hudson River or the upper west side of NYC, there is something for everyone.   All the prints are for sale, and with the holiday season approaching, its the perfect time to consider that holiday gift.

For those who haven't been to Vintology, it is worth the trip just to enjoy their offerings.  They have wine for every price point and have a great deal to offer in terms of events and wine tasting.  When I humbly asked for a simple bottle of wine that would not "break the bank"  they came up with quite a wonderful number of reasonable offers.  I also note that their wine tastings feature a variety of price points.  I discovered an amazing and surprisingly reasonably priced white wine that I never would have tried had I not gone to one of their tastings.  They are newly relocated on 2 Palmer Ave at the five corners (roughly across from Balducci's ).  They are open form 10AM-8PM  Monday- Saturday and 12PM-5PM on Sunday.

Hello Ruthmarie -- excellent presentation!   A great variety of subjects wonderfully shot with great perspective.   I especially like the details you captured of The Dakota.

Hi Jane, Thanks for stopping by.  I do more photography than real esate  these days and am trying to make the transition.  So I will be posting more and more to AR about photography in general.  Glad you liked the video.  I tend to think short is best.

Hi Debbie, The marketing is the bear.  Getting it out there.  BUt thanks, I'm glad this worked.

Hi Michael,  I was trying to do something different with the Dakota.  Everyone seems to take the shot where John Lenon fell.

Hi Pamela, A friend of mine suggested a try that technique with  some of my black and white photos.  People seem to like it and so do I if its done well.
