The Power of ActiveRain Connections - It's All About The People
ActiveRain and real estate is truly about the people and the connections we make. We list and sell homes for people. Without the people there would be no homes to list and sell.
I truly marvel at the connections we make in ActiveRain and with the people who become our clients. Earlier this year I received a referral from Elisa Uribe. Fortunately I did win the business on the referral - whew! How embarrassing would that have been if they did not hire me? Ah, but I digress.
I listed Elisa's friends home in Milpitas. We had a successful outcome with the sale of the home. The home was sold because the couple were getting married in Korea on October 12, 2013.
I recently received an invitation to their wedding reception.
What an honor it is is to make these connections with people and then be included in their celebration of their blessed event.
The people are what make the business of real estate so much fun. The role we play in listing and selling homes is a huge event in their lives. We spend a lot of time with them, communicating via email, text and phone. Of course there is a connection made during the process.
Some connections are stronger than others. Some people appreciate what we do more than others. Sometimes we establish a business connection as their go to Realtor®. Sometimes we create life-long friendships.
In the 11 years I have been a Realtor® I've been invited to many client events including Thanksgiving dinner. Some of my best friends today are people who are my past clients. Had I not listed their San Jose home for sale they likely would not be part of my life today.
I am so grateful for all of the people I've been honored to serve and for the connections and friendships I have made.
The business of real estate is not all a bed of roses but one thing is for certain, the good far outweighs the bad.
