Dale - They have tent camping and day picnicking all along the Guadalupe River. Gruene is ne of the major points to tube down the Guadalupe. Tubing is a big thing in this area. It is absolutely a nice and inexpensive way to vacation. We have alot of people that come to this area from Houston, TX and up north between Austin and DFW area. They also like Schlitterbahn, it is one of the world's largest waterparks. Infact New Braunfels is the corporate headquaters for Schlitterbahn, they make and design waterparks worldwide.
We are really fortunate to have so many activities for leisure and families and tourist all in one area. Back when Ceil and I were in high school their was nothing in N.B. and along River Rd. and today it is unbelievable. People like being close to the water for sure.
They may have Dale; Schlitterbahn is quite an organization. I had forgotten about the blog entitled Carl's Mobile; we really had fun with that one. I'll have to get a picture of my newest Carl's Mobile #2. With the price of gas I may have to go to using the Mobile #2. I'll try to get a picture in the next few days, you'll get a kick out of this one. I don't know, we had a lot of laughs about the best little shower in Texas, remember that one?
