Best Things to Do and See This November in Columbus Ohio
Just because the weather has turned chilly doesn't mean that we need to cuddle up inside with our chenille blankets wrapped up around us, coddling a cup of tea or hot cocoa; okay, maybe that does sound like a great idea, but when you want to get out and experience Columbus life here are some of the best things going on around town this November, 2013.
November 9 is the Grove City YMCA 5K Turkey trot. This annual event is just $15-$25 at 3600 Discovery Dr. in Grove City just a few miles from downtown Columbus. Join us between 8 and 9 a.m. for preregistration and writers start at 9 AM. There's the words at the finish line in first place receive a free one-year YMCA membership.
Sounds like an event that's too cold for you? Perhaps staying inside and enjoying an original musical based on the much loved book Madeline and the Bad Hat. On Tuesday, November 12 at Lincoln it are located at 769 East Walton St. in downtown Columbus. General admission is just $5 and this will entertain children and adults alike.
November 12 is Ohio State versus Ohio University at the Schottenstein Center Value City Arena at 8 PM. Ticket prices are $18-$36 and they will play basketball for the first time in 19 years at this arena.
The annual Easton's 14th holiday tree lighting celebration happens in Easton town Center on November 22 which is a Friday from 10 AM to 10 PM. We'll kick off this season's holiday magic with the lighting of the Christmas tree, arrival of Santa Claus and a grand parade. This is sure to draw locals and visitors from all around.
On November 27 Is a family and meet the Peanut’s gang at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM. Admission is $6-$12 and you can enjoy a Peanuts Thanksgiving dinner with popcorn, pretzels, better test and Gentile and meet all of your favorite Peanuts characters.
In Gahanna on November 29 is one of the best holiday lights Parade of the season. As soon as the sun goes down Ohio's premier evening parade once the heart with dozens of the most beautiful floats, marching bands and beautiful lights and activities you've seen. This happens Friday, 6 PM to 10 PM at Mill Street in Gahanna Ohio.
