Bragging about My State Again, Sorry!
Okay, okay I know I have done this quit often but it is hard not to brag about Texas when it seems like Texas is making the National news for all the good reasons!
Forbes has reported the 20 most affordable cities to live in and not surprisingly Texas has 4 cities on the list. I am pleased to say Houston is number four on the list!
Since 2008 Roughly 40% of the Nations new jobs have been created in my very own TEXAS! The economy is booming and the price of living is exceptional! Houston's overall cost of living after taxes is 9.2 % below the Nation's average. People are migrating from all over the Nation to check out Texas and what it has to offer.
You would be quit surprised as to what you can get for your money here in Houston and the surrounding areas. A $250,000 home in Houston averages 4-5 bedrooms and over 2,500 square feet in most cases. The Greater Houston area offers a wide variety when it comes to real estate. From a loft in downtown to a traditional home in League City, Houston and it's surrounding areas have it all! Housing in the Houston area is 37.3 % lower than the national average.
People are flocking to Texas and we are more than happy to welcome them! Texas has become a melting pot within the larger melting pot of America.
Take a look at this home that I sold in April of this year. How much do you think this house would sell for? This home sold at $185,000! You can see how much home you get for your buck in the Houston and surrounding areas. This home was on the market 16 days. Just enough time to make a buyer really happy and a seller even happier.
A home like this in most other cities would be listed well over the listing price I listed it at. Our market is just that affordable! Listings are coming and going very fast which is a great sign for the Real Estate Market!
So, if you are looking to make a move to an affordable, economic booming, entertaining city, come to Houston! Texas has so much to offer and Houston is just one of the many lovely cities!
