I believe less is often more, so I've split these quotes into two posts.  I don't know about you, but if a post is too long... I tend to not read it..  Hope you enjoy:

"What you see and hear depends a great deal on where you are standing; it also depends on what sort of person you are."  ~C.S. Lewis

"Coming generations will learn equality from poverty, and love from woes."  ~Kahlil Gibran

"Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best."  ~Henry van Dyke

"Visualize this thing you want. See it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blueprint and begin."  ~Robert Collier

"You will become as great as your domination aspiration. If you cherish a vision, a loft ideal in your heart, you will realize it."  ~James Allen

"It is easy to be tolerant of the principles of other people if you have none of your own."  ~Herbert Samuel

Hi Don,

Words to live by.. 'make a mental blueprint and begin.'  Two posts are good.  I think it makes them easier to digest.  Thanks!

Don, I am a big believer in visualization. You have to see it in your mind for it to become a reality. I am also on board with too long posts. How does anyone have time to read such lengthy pieces among the 77,000 Rainers? So you did right by breaking yours up into smaller chunks.

Matt: Perspective is amazing! Thanks for stopping by, again!

Gary: Thanks for the support.  sometimes I can ramble on, but I think the short posts are the best!

I love the one in the middle about using what talent you have.  It's just what some people I know who are always preparing, and never doing in this buisness, need to hear.

"You always miss 100% of the shots you don't take!"

we need to get a little out of our comfort zone at times.  Scary at first but very rewarding in the end.  You'll feel better for it.

Great post!

My favorite quote is Attitude by Charles Swindoll:

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a church ... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our Attitudes.

I read one today which is still on my mind. "Your attitude should be gratitude." This is so true in these lean times.

Thank you for posting.
