Verrazano Narrows Bridge
Taking twilight photos can be a challenge. Even with good equipment you need to know how to use it to get the desired results.
Many factors are envolved that you don't realize until it's too late sometimes. One important factor is to dress appropriately for the occasion. Fall weather near or at the ocean can be difficult to anticipate how to dress. Declining temperatures can present interesting surprises. Last night was no exception as I photographed the bridge in what I thought was 64 degrees. I took along a winter coat "Just in case". I was glad I had it. Standing at the waters edge with the wind blowing about 15 MPH made for a brisk photo shoot. I arrived just before dusk and took 67 pictures without moving the tripod my camera was on. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish. In the end I was very happy with the results. Pictured below is my first and last picture, which I posted to my photography website.
