Friday's Foto - Serenity at Home

There is much that can be said about what "home" is and it can be different for each person.  For many of us it's the place where family and friends can gather and also a place where we find respite from the outside world - a piece of serenity within our own four walls.

One of the Spring Hill homes I have currently listed for sale illustrates these concepts beautifully with a rendering of Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam",  part of the famous paintings found in the Sistine Chapel.

Just imagine, resting on the sofa in your own living room, gazing up the ceiling and transcending into a state of peace and quiet.

It also shows, you just never know what you will find in your home search!

Anna, it was quite a surprise when I first saw this!

Kathy, I agree, the owners are well traveled and there are subtle references to different places in the world throughout the home.

Lou, that is very true and the more I look at it the more I like it!

Hi Silvia, your photograph reminds me of the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. I hope the Michelangelo picture will help for a quick sale on your new listing.

That's really cool. Living in the antibellum south I have always wanted a painted rotunda.

The ceiling definitely presents a bit of Sistine Chapel influence.  It leaves me wondering what the rest of the house was like!

Debbie, I agree, as long as it's not overdone.

Tom, people and their homes are full of surprises.

Kwee, thank you!  Art lovers would appreciate this.

Kathy, it's a great way to remember a favorite place!

Helen and Larry,  it's always difficult to say what buyers will do to make the newly purchased home uniquely theirs.

Patricia, thanks, it's definitely very recognizable.

Tammy, maybe one of these days, hope your dream will come true!

Eric, so glad to hear you were able to strike one more off your bucket list and had a great time.

Myrl, the house is very tastefully decorated and fairly neutral otherwise.
