Back in September when I had a little down time, I began to plan 2014. Over the years, I wouldn't necessarily say that I create a "Business Plan". It's a summarized, short version that works for my husband and I.
We no longer spend alot of time about our Vision and Mission statements (part of a mission plan). Those main concepts stay the same.
Our LONG - TERM goals remain in tact.
Our short - term goals are what gets revisited, re-tweeked and worked on.
Part of studying our short-term goals and activities include studying the year that has been. We enter all our transactions in a spreadsheet. We know the # transactions we close, the $ we earned. We also track where our business come from. From there, we decide if some marketing activities should continue, revised and re-executed or scraped altogether.
We also include our marketing/ blogging plan chronologially, written in the 2014 calendar.
That was September. There were alot of year left by that time. Since then and until December, I will probably close another 10 transactions.
Now, with 2013 6 weeks left, it's time to clean up and clean house. There are a few unfinished business for 2013. It's time to rave up the rest of the year.
