Is Your Mouth Watering Yet? Winter Meet Up McCarthy's on the Riverwalk McCarthy's on the Riverwalk is the location I have chosen for the Winter Meet-up on Thursday December 5th, 2013. Whether you are in Southern Michigan, Illinois or Ohio, the Indiana Toll Road will get you here lickedy split. Even during snowy weather the Toll Road is well maintained and usually dry.
Larry and I came out to take photo's of McCarthy's on the Riverwalk today and decided to stop in and eat. Larry had a Reubin with house chips and dip. I didn't think about taking a photo of our lunch until we were half done, but here you go... Look at the size of half of the sandwich! Mr Stingy let me have ONE BITE, the bread is dark rye, not pumpernickel, and the quality of the corned beef is excellent.

I had the Irish Cottage Salad, it had pears, strawberry's, red grapes, lettuce mix, blue cheese crumbles, red onion and sugared walnuts with a poppyseed dressing. Here's a look at it...

Nibco Water & Ice Park is just outside the window from where we will be seated. They have underground controls to keep the surface below freezing and can actually make ice anytime they want. Of course it is much to warm out now but hopefully by the 5th of December temperatures will drop and the skaters will be out in full force. It will make a nice backdrop for our ActiveRain Winter Meet Up at McCarthy's on the Riverwalk.
Next door to McCarthy's is a cute little place called B's on the River, mostly a gift shop with a few tables for a deli type sandwich offering, along with home made desserts. Browsing after the ActiveRain Winter Meet Up is a must...
