What’s Trending in Luxury Nashville Home Sales
Just a few short years ago, the big buzzwords in home listings were all about custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. While we’re sure homeowners are still looking for luxury touches, it seems new features have become more important. Sellers should take note of the top selling points when preparing to list their homes, especially if the homes include any of the most sought-after amenities. So what are these buzzwords?
Outdoor Living
With Nashville’s temperate climate, people want the chance to enjoy it as much as possible. Outdoor living spaces have steadily climbed the list of trending terms, with the most popular including “roof deck,” “terrace,” “summer kitchen,” and “outdoor kitchen.” Homes with any amount of outdoor living space could see excellent results after listing. For that reason, any budget set aside for home improvements before selling might be better focused to outdoor spaces rather than kitchens and baths.
Plenty of Storage
While “storage space” and “walk-in closets” have seen a surge in searches, another type of storage has also made the list. Wine rooms, cellars, and cabinets are also trending selling points for luxury homes. When considering improvements before selling, attention to storage space is a great idea, especially if you’re making room for a wine collection.
Sweeping Views
Seems people want something to look at when glancing out the window. Also on the list of trending searches is “panoramic views,” “floor to ceiling windows,” and “oversized windows.” These are especially important in homes for sale in downtown areas and suburban areas with wood or mountain views. When preparing to sell, make sure all windows are given prominence. If a budget exists to replace some windows with larger ones, you may see a healthy return on your investment.
With these buzzwords at the ready, you can better prepare for home sales. What other features do you look for in your Nashville homes? We’d love to hear about it.
