PROVERB - CHAPTER 9:7-9

"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse. Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you. Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning."

MY THOUGHTS: The first thing that comes to mind for me with this is that I can measure how wise I am by my ability to listen to instruction and correction.  Are you coach-able or are you dead set on doing it your way?  Do you ever catch yourself feeling so superior to someone and that they possibly can't offer anything that can help you? 

My theory is that I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DON'T KNOW...so even if I know a lot perhaps I can gather some extra truth from what someone else tells me and maybe that truth is what propels me to the next level - better explanation of what I mean at this blog series: 1% Better Each Day- TOPIC #4 - RECREATION ...

Also note that we are warned not to spend to much time correcting and rebuking those who are "mockers" (know it all, arrogant, complainers). I think instead of telling MOCKERS what to do, you perhaps should just show them.  So LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
