Cindy ~ I get these all the time and over the past two weeks it has gotten worse; right after a spammer contacted me through Active Rain email too!  I have a bulk folder that almost all of them go into, unfortunately, I do have to scroll through it before deleting the whole bunch of them in case a non-spam one went in there accidentally.  I agree it is a pain, but I don't have a resolution for making it stop.  I'll check back and see if others have a solution to this problem.

Cindy when pushing the delete button gets old it is time to set up a spam filter on you email.

Its hard because they use different emails.  If you have outlook you can filter certain words.  If you have Yahoo you can only do what you have been doing but it probably won't help much.

Cindy, Unfortunately they are part of the landscape. I chuckle everytime I get one. I mean out of the millions of people that are more prominent than me, he or she has chosen me to share their wealth with - wow.

Sometimes I report them as spam, usually I delete them.

Sorry I can't give you any help w/ the spam but for a laugh about the subject go read the thread, it is long but worth it.

I get these types of emails quite often.  Most of the time I quickly delete them, then it seems that they don't come back again for another couple weeks.

I have two email accounts:  one for business, and one for junk.  Whenever I sign up for anything online, I use my junk account to obtain password information.  This helps to cut back on the amount of spam to my real email.

Cindy, I still use AOL and have the list of blocked words. I still get a lot in my spam, but it's much less than before and I keep adding words to the list as more garbage comes out.

This is funny, I get alot of this, and they contact me via AR too...its annoying to say the least.

Cindy, If you figure it out please let me know.  If I set the filter too high then it grabs my leads so I am stuck with hitting the delete button.  I have started setting up lots of rules and alerts and that does seem to help. Only problem is every time we reformat or get a new computer I have to set them all up again.

Sorry you are getting so much SPAM.  I just got one today and I did a blog on it.  I also got it via AR.  It gave me the creeps!

I delete those as soon as I see them.  Unfortunately, I see them as the inconvenient side effect of making sure prospect e-mails aren't automatically classified as junk mail.
