Million Dollar Agent, How You Can Become One!
The million dollar agent is one who nets one million dollars a year before taxes. To achieve that status may be easier than you think, however, it does require some knowledge and a lot of hard work.
Obviously, one is going to need a top notch team that will include super listing agents, buyers agents, assistants, marketing staff, and other office staff. But that is the nuts and bolts of it. Before getting there, one must have the goal in mind.
As a disclaimer, let me first say that I am not a million dollar agent, nor do I aspire to be one, simply because of the time and work it takes to get there. I had a wonderful career as a Pan Am airline pilot, and today I enjoy being my own broker and working with a small number of clients so that I can provide superior service. However, if I wanted to become a million dollar agent, I could, because I know the secret to achieving anything that I want to achieve.
I'm going to share that secret with you now so you'll know how to achieve any goal you wish to set:
The secret is in the power of your mind!
I dropped out of high school in the 10th grade, in 1949, to work in the Detroit automobile factories where I earned about $1,100 per year. After two years, I decided that is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. So I set two goals. One was to get a white collar job, and the other was to earn $10,000 per year. That was a very high goal. But I pictured myself having reached that goal, and by 1961, I had achieved both goals; I had become an airline pilot for Zantop Air Transport, where I remained for seven years before going with Pan Am, and I earned $11,000 that year.
I had set a long term goal, and during the interim years there were short term goals that I had to set and work hard to achieve. All of this is described in my book that was just released. You can Buy it Now directly from Amazon, Pan Am Captain, Aiming High.
Here's what was happening, and what you can do to achieve anything you wish to achieve. When you set a goal, and then picture yourself having achieved that goal, you are programming your subconscious mind to guide you there. The subconscious mind never sleeps. It's always awake, and it will look into your mind's database, and use all of your life experiences to guide you to your ultimate goal. You just have to do the necessary work your subconscious presents to you. There will be detours and road blocks along the way, but if you continue to work hard, you will eventually achieve your goal.
In January 2013, at age 79, I weighed 200 pounds and was carrying 35% (70 pounds) of body fat. I had lifted weights and exercised regularly while I was flying for Pan Am, but had become sedentary, doing a lot of work at my desk during the past few years. So I decided to get myself in shape and write a book on Fitness, which will be complete in 2014.
To gain credibility for the book I decided to train to enter a bodybuilding contest in July 2014. I set that goal and began to picture myself on stage at the competition, at the age of 80, winning first place against 50 year old competitors. There is no category for 80 year old bodybuilders; it's only age 50 and above.
Every day I picture myself there - the 80 year old bodybuilder - picking up the first place trophy. Today I weigh 180 pounds and the body fat is down to 18%, with a lot of muscle gain. In July 2014 at the competition I will weigh between 185-190 pounds and be at 6% body fat.
All I have to do is tell myself I can do it, then picture myself having reached the goal, then do the hard work that's necessary - and I will succeed.
What the mind concieves, the body can achieve. If you desire to be a million dollar agent, then use the power of your mind, and do the hard work, as I have done since I was 20 years old, - and you can achieve anything you desire.
