Marketing Ideas For Montgomery County, MD Homes
One of the ways that I help my realtor partners and clients is to provide single property websites to help to get more eyes on a property and hopefully the right buyer! It's a great marketing piece that really WOW's sellers!
One such client is selling a 5 bedroom, 3 bath property in Laytonsville, Maryland. Laytonsville is a lovely suburb of Washington, DC, in Montgomery County, Maryland, near Gaithersburg.
Check out this beautiful home at the property's web site!

A little Laytonsville trivia...Did you know that Laytonsville used to be called Cracklintown?
When I asked the seller what made her home special, she provided me with the following:
My husband moved to Maryland in January 2004, to take a position at Georgetown University. My son and I joined him later after the spring school year in Utah. Although we had spent time looking for housing, I did not pick my house during my visits to Maryland; I picked the neighborhood. I told my realtor to let me know when a house became available for sale in this one and only community. I never saw the inside of the house before I purchased! My son and I traveled across the United States with two zebra finches in the car. The entire drive, I kept hoping that the house would look all right inside. I worried about flooring and paint color, and the AC and heating. To me, the outside of the house looked a bit like a barn, but my husband promised me it looked nice inside. You have to realize that this was before shopping for a home on the Internet was easy and virtual. I feel that my husband was drawn to the one-acre lot. It had a few fruit trees before we moved in, and we could easily see the endless possibilities of landscaping with trees and flowers. I admit that I was very anxious when we arrived in Maryland, but within a short time, the house became us! I have never regretted our decision.
Shortly after moving in, our neighbors came forth with baked goods and well wishes. Some of the neighbors had children my son’s age, and we soon became friends with them. There are so many examples of how neighbors came forth to help when you appeared to be in need. One example that stands brightest is that it had iced, not snowed, early evening and over night. The next day our driveway was a complete sheet of one- inch thick ice. A snow shovel was not going to work, and we were trying to break and melt the ice. This man comes driving down Fracroft Lane on his lawn tractor, tires covered in snow chains, and a plow on the front. He hammered the ice with the plow until it broke up. We did not even know which house he came from. These are the neighbors in our community. Most homes sit on at least a one-acre lot. People live here because they want peace and quiet from the city, and yet, you are only 6 miles from the metro! However, whenever you need help, someone shows up at your door. During the summer, it is like a mowing party; everyone taking care of their lawns on the weekends at the same time. Children play outside and there is space to ride your bike or walk.
What I want people to know, is that this is not just the purchase of a home, this is the purchase of belonging to a well established neighborhood, where your neighbors are your friends, and they would do anything for you. You live in Laytonsville, MD, but you also live in a hidden little community with charm and a since of warmth. My family and I will miss living here.
