I'm not going to take credit for that quote, it was made by Day Weitzman, a Coldwell Banker agent from our Annapolis, MD office during an agent panel discussion today. It's one of those statements that makes you think, and one that is absolutely correct.
We all know how busy we are when we have buyer and seller clients. That's just a no brainer. Day's point was that when we don't have clients, we should be just as busy. Busy trying to acquire those clients who pay the bills.
Just because you're not taking out buyers this weekend, that doesn't mean that you don't have things to do. Prospecting shouldn't be taking any time off. Websites and blogs always need updating. Developing your business plan for 2014. Etc...you get the picture.
When you're in real estate, you should be busy all the time working with buyers or seller, or working to acquire buyers or sellers. If you're not...than you're not really in real estate.
