“Turkey Trot” 5K Run on Thanksgiving Day 2013
Many people who enjoy eating with family and friends during the holiday festivals are also concerned about putting on weight. No worries come and join the “Turkey Trot” 5K Run or walk on Thanksgiving Day. It will help to burn your calories and is also for a good cause.

Everyone who registers to participate will have a commemorative T-shirt. The event starts at 8:00am from Hyatt Regency with running, jogging, or walking across the scenic Ringling Causeway Bridge to Bird Key (with an area that has expensive beautiful homes), and back.
The proceeds from this casual fun event will benefits the ALSO Youth, a non-profit organization to advocate, educate and support bi-sexual, gay, lesbian and transgender youth in Sarasota.

This family friendly event is provided by Edison State College and approved by Zoomers Running and Triathlon Club. The run is around the Edison State College campus to the finish line. There are refreshments, prizes and an awards ceremony after the race.
The proceed from the 15th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Fun Walk will benefit Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity, to help local families in need of affordable , decent and safe homes.
