The most common reason why people do not think of real estate as viable option for investment is because they do not want to be a landlord.  A sucessful realtor can partner with a reputable management company to open new doors for their buyers. Although we do offer "full service" residential management, many people who buy single family homes as an investment, show lots of interest in our placement services.

Consider the following "pitch"

LANDLORDS: Are you tired of endless no call/ no shows? Are you tired of endless under qualified applicants? Are you tired of long vacancies? If your answer is yes, then Lighthouse Property Management has the answer!

Lighthouse Property Management's Resident Placement Service:

For a nominal fee Lighthouse Property Management can provide the following services:

Advise you on the rental value of your property,
Free advertisement on www.lighthousepm.com and The Grand Rapids Press,
Screen phone calls and walk-in prospects,
Qualify applicants,
Schedule and confirm showings,
Show your property to prospects,
Verify employment,
Verify prior rental history,
Run (and pay for) credit checks,
Consult with you regarding applicants (you make the final decision),
Collect security deposit and first month's rent,
Confirm utility transfer,
Provide all documents for lease signing,
Coordinate and conduct lease signing and move-in,
Post placement referencing. "We are always a phone call away!"....

Residential Placement Service is specifically designed for owners who prefer to have hands on daily management of their rental property, but are in need of professional assistance in finding qualified residents to fill their vacancies. We are currently working with a large number of pre-qualified applicants searching for a place to call home....

These are some of the same reasons that we started ALT Property Management. So many Tenants and so few places... well at least that the tenants can find. Why stay incognito... Come out and advertise yourself or let us do it for you... We have 10x the exposure of just a single Landlord.
