What motivates each of us depends on our personalities, backgrounds, environment, etc. Some of us are more susceptible to the weather for example. A gray cloudy day puts us in a funk, a bright sunny day reflects in our mood and what we can accomplish that day. To stay motivated no matter what your particularities can be challenging. What do you do to stay motivated?
Staying on task is my biggest challenge to motivation. I awake each day determined to get it all done. But so many things distract me that my motivation soon wands. Therefore it is in the mornings that I must write it down, what is to be accomplished that day, week, etc. Keeping to the list is important. Once you have created those tasks keep to them first. Of course things will come up that may need to move ahead on the list but don't let every little thing get you off track. If you can not get an item done move on to another, don't let it bog you down.
Do take breaks, talk to your co-workers, friends, etc. Just get up and stretch, take a short walk, even daydream a little. These activities will help to clear your mind and make it easier to move on with your list of assignments.
