Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays (even though it sort of gets lost between the jack-o-lanterns and the Christmas trees). It seems that the only thing Thanksgiving has going for it is food and football! Well, this year I am having turkey several times leading up the holiday....
Last weekend, we stopped at Eatzi's in Plano and they were sampling their Thanksgiving meal that you could order for holiday pick up. They gave everyone a small plate with turkey, stuffing, rice casserole, and pumpkin pie. What could be better than a free thanksgiving meal sample?
Yesterday I stopped at Starbucks and got a pumpkin spice chai tea latte....it tastes like you are drinking a pumpkin pie! It may not be the entire Thanksgiving meal, but it's SO worth it!
Today is the Wylie Chamber of Commerce luncheon, where we will enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving meal again with turkey and dressing.
This coming Sunday 11/24, we are celebrating the holiday at Canyon Creek Baptist Church where everyone is invited to stay after the morning worship service and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together. If you are in the Plano or Richardson area and don't have a church home, feel free to stop by and visit us and stick around for the lunch. More details at: www.canyoncreekbc.org
Finally - on Thanksgiving Day, I will be celebrating with family and friends while watching football and - you guessed it - having turkey and dressing, and of course pumpkin pie.
I HOPE THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY - AND THAT YOU HAVE PLENTY OF THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR THIS YEAR!
