Bike the Neck pathway links Murrells Inlet, SC to Pawleys Island, South Carolina

The final link in the Bike the Neck chain of South Carolina Bike trails is being forged to bridge the section in Murrells Inlet, SC. Although vehicle traffic will be re-routed and even stopped at times during the construction of the bike bridge, residents and seasonal visitors will have one sweet ride when it is finished. The bridge will connect the bike lane along U.S. Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet and the recently constructed bike trail along the edge of Huntington Beach State Park that connects to a trail leading all the way into Litchfield, SC. The Huntington Beach State Park trail is paved and meanders through gorgeous wooded and wetland sections of the park.

Could you tell me where you start this ride?  such as parking your car and hopping on your bike and then how far can you go out and back and is it all paved????

Thank you very much

First time on site.  Surprised to see that the site is outdated and apparently not being too well maintained.

Question:  What happened with the plans to put the path down Kings River to Waverly?

Question:  How much money is currently available for construction of said section and where can one obtain a financial statement re: said money.

Question: When and where does the bike the neck organization meet?
