Typical Sold Price FSBO vs. Agent

Typical Sales Price FSBO vx. Agent

Sometimes Sellers just want to go it alone. Some of them have had a bad experience with a real estate agent before, and some of them just don't see the value that we provide. Take a look at the typical sold price comparison. The average sold price for a real estate agent's sale is 19% above that which a FSBO makes.

This is something to consider because the sale of a house is often the largest investment an individual or family has. If you have thought about selling on your own, give us a call to see the value we provide that can mean money in your pocket.

Sharon,

Thanks for sharing this graph.  There are so many things agents can do more easily to help sell a home with the support of a real estate firm.  It's good for us to learn to be able to convince some FSBOs to become clients!

Sharon looks like this is a normal phenomenon nationwide. Ironically the same type of person wants to be "penny wise and pound foolish"... to give you a parallel one of my clients used to rent out his house and then they decided to use my service I ended up getting them $2000 more per month for their home....fast forward to last year...they asked what my commission was....long and short they saved $50k by not using my services but the also left $250k on the table...they did not believe me because the Tenant was manipulating them....happens once in a while...FYI they were in their 80's....

I see so many bad things happening when I am doing a mortgage for someone involved with a FSBO. Unfortunately those who attempt to sell without the services of a Realtor think they are saving money.

You are welcome, Andrew.

Endre, save $50 and leave $250 on the table? Yikes! Case in point!

Joe, and we hear so many bad stories, but some people think they can outsmart everyone and save money. Sometimes it works, but many times there are bad things that happen.

Karen, thanks :)
