My Pre Winter/Holiday Plans For Me are all about Believing .. in the magic of the season, in our healing journey and in us. When I thought about my pre plans for my business it struck me that the essence of it is really not that different: believing in myself. I am succeeding as a single mom and in Real Estate!
Success doesn't just happen of course. Here are the 3 things that are at the top of my Pre Winter/Holiday Plans For My Business - list that will help me stay on track:
Connecting: I regularly meet up with past clients for a cup of coffee or lunch. The holidays are the perfect time to reconnect with everyone, and especially the ones I haven't had the chance to catch up with throughout the year. I mail out hand-written holiday cards and magnetic calendars to all my past clients and new connections.
My clients who closed with me this year (I appreciate you!) and the ones who have referred business to me (I appreciate you!) will receive a little something extra. I'm going to stop by and hand-deliver my card, calendar and a box of chocolates - not any kind of chocolates though but from the city I am from in Germany.
When my family visits they always have to bring some goodies. This year my parents smuggled in brought over chocolate from Halloren which happens to be the oldest chocolate factory in Germany. I'll indulge, too, but most of it is going to my special sphere.
Educating: Earning designations has been on my to-do list for a long time but I have not treated it as a priority. That needs to change. I love to learn! And I am looking forward to taking the ABR this winter. I already purchased the course, taking advantage of the REALTOR® University's 20% discount this month (November is designation awareness month). I also have the ASP on my list. Since both courses are paid for I have a deadline of 6 months to get them done. Deadlines work well for me.
Branding: This is, of course, an on-going process but my pre plans include to brainstorm, to make a list of what I have already done and to come up with a road map.
Creating and working a niche has been one of my weak areas. I had trouble defining mine. I wasn't really sure what that was until I had a major light bulb moment recently. While I was working on one of my latest projects (repurposing an old window) it occurred to me how much I had already blogged about anything vintage, charming, old.
I wrote about Re-stores, original details in older homes, where to buy shabby chic .. I have told the world that I have a vintage soul. I have gained new clients through these blog posts and have helped them buy vintage. This is my passion and my niche!
My pre winter/holiday plans for my business and for myself are about BELIEVING - in my girls and myself as a single mom and a REALTOR® with a passion and the drive to succeed.
