License-Free Fishing Days in Florida are Back!
Florida requires licenses for saltwater and freshwater fishing but each year, there are a few days, when no licenses are required to fish.
That's good news for those who don't have a recreational Florida fishing license and would like to try fishing to see if it is something they would enjoy.
Here are the upcoming dates for recreational license-free fishing days in Florida:
November 29, 2013: License-free Freshwater Fishing Day
November 30, 2013: License-free Saltwater Fishing Day
December 28, 2013: License-free Freshwater Fishing Day
With waterways, lakes, rivers, and hundreds of miles of coastline, Florida is the Fishing capital of the world. Fishing is a great way to enjoy the Florida outdoors and nature and fishing is something the whole family can enjoy! You can even take your catch home with you and have fresh fish for dinner!
Don't worry, even if your catch is not big enough to keep or if you prefer to catch and release, fishing is a fun activity that lets you enjoy many other aspects of Florida nature. Sitting still in one place for a while, you will be amazed at the wildlife you can observe whether it is birds, fish, turtles, dolphins and manatees, or other creatures.
