This afternoon we got to view an array of exhibits on the final day of this year's Craft + Design Show at the Science Museum of Virginia. It was very worthwhile to see so much talent concentrated at one location. As my friend and I were leaving, the fire alarm sounded.
We didn't see or smell any smoke anywhere. As it was very cold outside, I think there likely was a very good chance someone was smoking in one of the bathrooms. However, we didn't stick around to find out! Fire trucks were certainly going to be arriving soon, so it was good for us to be leaving quickly!
At any rate, below is a brief photo tribute to some of the exhibitors who were there. Most of them certainly worked hard to be included in this high quality show, so I really hope some generous people (and maybe also some with deep pockets) did some buying this weekend!
A lot of these items likely would appeal to moderate to upscale home buyers in Richmond, VA, and the the surrounding areas looking for additional special furnishings for their homes! Also, several of the exhibitors were jewelers who had a wide assortment of their fine work on display.
This particular exhibit showed an assortment of items by a Lynchburg, VA, ceramic artist.
Glass items shown in a wide variety of colors could beautify any Richmond, VA, home.

One exhibitor showed finely crafted polished brass utensils for kitchen or dining room.
