It has been an extremely busy year for me in my real estate business. How so? I operate an independent Brokerage in both Hawaii and California.
The Hawaii brokerage is new in 2013. When I say "new", that is only the brokerage. I have actually lived in Hawaii a combined 26 years of my life, and am no newcomer there. My daughter's family including two darling grandsons live there, and are my motivating factors in being there frequently.
My Brokerage in California has been in existence since 2009, based in Crescent City during the downturn of the market. Now I plan to move the brokerage to Carmel-by-the-Sea where I lived for 10 years and have maintained a large client base. These clients have now persuaded me that the time is right for me to open my brokerage here.
To re-cap, here are my business highlights of 2013:
HAWAII.
1. Became a REAL ESTATE BROKER in Hawaii.
2. Joined the Honolulu Board of Realtors.
3. Launched my Hawaii website, www.HellaHawaii.com
4. Started a major marketing campaign aimed at condominium buyers and sellers in Honolulu.
5. Entered the luxury residential real estate market on the Big Island of Hawaii. Am currently preparing a marketing plan for a client that is to be launched the beginning of 2014.
CALIFORNIA.
1. Leased an office in Carmel-by-the-Sea and plan to officially move my California Brokerage in December. It's a little premature to talk more about this because I have not changed over yet with the DRE from my current address.
2. During the Holidays, change over all my Internet marketing to reflect the new Carmel-by-the-Sea address.
3. Start an awareness marketing program in the Carmel area. This will be very comprehensive.
4. Start a California Activerain Blog on January 1, 2014.
And these are my plans for the winter for both California and Hawaii in 2014.
As you can imagine, there is a lot to do to get all this done. My focus will be on:
1. Building my Team.
2. Networking, face-to-face contacts with past and future clients.
3. Internet marketing
4. Advertising, both print and direct mail.
5. SALES.
BUT FIRST, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY FRIENDS HERE ON ACTIVERAIN.
And what am I doing during Thanksgiving week? Taking 45 hours of California continuing education courses for the renewal of my California Brokers License. At this point I have done HALF. Whew.
