Last week, we wrote a blog about the newest agent to join the Dietz Team and we thought, maybe we shouldn't just introduce the new agent, maybe we should blog about each team member. The Dietz Team is a team of 7 agents and 2 full time support staff based out of the Palm Harbor-Clearwater area. We are part of the Remax/Realtec family, but because of the size of our team, we have our own office location on US 19 in Palm Harbor.
Richard Pollard joined our team in June of 2013. Prior to joining the Dietz Team, he had been with another company for 2 years. He first became interested in real estate when his family moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2005, right in the middle of the real estate boom. His family purchased a home and the advice given by the agent representing them wasn't the best advice. From that moment, Richard knew that he wanted to become an agent, that people knew would be honest and trustworthy. He started in 2011, wanting to help both buyer's and seller's have a great real estate experience with someone that truly had their best interest in mind.
Richard contributes 2 major factors to becoming successful. Having a coach and a mentor is the first. John Dietz, who is the owner of the Dietz Team, as well as a speaker, coach and trainer spends countless hours with our agents. He provides guidance, suggestions, practices role playing and offers a wealth of knowledge about the real estate industry. The second factor Richard says is having to be accountable. Richard has daily, weekly and monthly goals. He knows what steps he needs to do to achieve those goals, and John holds him, along with the rest of the team, accountable to be sure that goals are met and surpassed.
Since Richard was previously with another real estate company, you may be curious as to why he made the switch to join the Dietz Team. His answer, John Dietz. He first met John when he was just beginning his real estate career. John made a great first impression and was very professional and friendly. Two years later, their paths crossed again, at a class that Richard was taking (taught by someone else that John Dietz had coached). Richard again was impressed that John took the time to answer questions about the obstacles that Richard was facing in his business. Richard says, "It's very respectable that a man will go out of his way to help someone they don't even know try to be more successful." After that, Richard realized it was a "no-brainer" to be able to work with someone so passionate about what they do AND be willing to share that passion and knowledge with others.
Anyone that knows Richard, knows that he is a follower of Christ first and foremost, and a huge sports junkie. If he's not playing sports, he's watching them. He is a huge fan of both the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldawgs. When asked where he sees himself in ten years from now, Richard says, "Wow, that is hard for me to imagine, because in the 6 months since I have joined the Dietz Team, my business has already grown to a whole new level. It's hard to imagine where I will be, but I would like to say I will be on the top real estate agents in the State of Florida. By then, I pray, I will have a family to be supporting and enjoying all the real estate market has to offer"
Richard has the drive, the motivation and all the tools he needs to achieve whatever goals he sets for himself. By staying focused and continuing the hard work, we have no doubts that he will achieve and surpass the goals he sets for himself.
