Cocoa Beach Florida Is A Special Place

Cocoa Beach Florida is a special place for so many reasons.  It's a barrier island on central Florida's east coast between the Atlantic Ocean and Banana River Lagoon.  For a place that's six miles long and less than a mile wide in spots, it packs in a lot of fun!

Cocoa Beach Florida Is A Special Place

The first reason why Cocoa Beach Florida is a special place, is because of it's geography.  It's one of those spots where you can walk along two different types of beaches.  On one side you can kayak along the Banana River Islands, and on the other you can surf cast into the ocean.

It's well known to surfers that Cocoa Beach Florida is a special place, because it is often referred to as the surfing capital of the east coast.  Ron Jon Surf Shop has an amazing store there that you must visit, even if you don't surf.  It has all your needs for a glorious day at the beach.

Powerboat races bring a festive atmosphere to the area when they're in town.  Usually classic car shows and various contests spring up around the site.  Bikinis, fine rides, good food, and great drinks as far as the eye can see.  Two of my favorite places for these are the Cocoa Beach Pier, and Coconuts on the Beach.  Both areas have good food and drink, but Coconuts always has music, and it's on the beach.  Be careful though, there is a one gallon limit for alcohol on the beach.

This year, the Space Coast Art Festival is here from November 30 to December 1, 2013.  Team Brevard supports the arts by promoting such events in our blogs and social media.  If you want to explore town, you can rent a mini three-wheeled car.  There are numerous shops, restaurants, and other entertainment.  An impressive mini-golf course lies along the way to Port Canaveral.  Port Canaveral is the local cruise ship gateway to exotic ports of call.

Cocoa Beach Florida is a special place to live.  Various homes and condos provide beautiful ocean-front vistas.  Imagine waking up to the sun rising out of the ocean from the privacy of your own balcony.  Smell the salt air, watch a cruise ship pass in the distance, or even catch the occasional rocket launch.  Brevard County real estate is centrally located to amazing world-class destinations as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and Orlando.  Living in Cocoa Beach provides you with the unique opportunity to live year-round where others choose to vacation.  Let me help you find your permanent vacation spot.
