High School in Bellevue WashingtonBellevue High School made Newsweek’s 2013 list of ‘America’s Best High Schools’ once again this year.  BHS ranks 5th in the  state and 242nd in the nation.  There are approximately 1,469 students enrolled in the school.  Bellevue High School teaches the towns of Medina, Yarrow Point, Clyde Hill, Hunts Point and Beaux Arts, and also the neighborhoods of Downtown Bellevue, Enatai, Wilburton and Woodridge. 

 

                                                                                      

 

 

Bellevue High School has long been recognized for its excellence in academics.  The Washington Post placed BHS on its “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” list in 2013 at 155th in the nation.  BHS has also enjoyed consistently ranking higher than the state and national averages as far as SAT scores.                                 

 

 

Another rising statistic for BHS is the number of AP (Advanced Placement) classes that are being offered and taken by students.  Bellevue High School has also won several team academic championships.

The location of Bellevue High is very convenient to bus lines, main roads and freeways. Located just West of I-405 and East of Bellevue Way SE on SE Wolverine Way. This makes for easy access and ease of commuting. Because of this, many families have chosen to find residence in one of the many sought after neighborhoods in Bellevue Washington.

Bellevue High School has also been renowned for its athletic teams.  The Bellevue football team (Wolverines) has been very successful, winning the states 3A championship 10 times since 2001.  BHS has many other athletic teams including 20 varsity teams and many other team and individual sports.  BHS has won state titles in soccer, tennis, cross-country, football, track and wrestling.
