Draper UT, the decorated, the spectacular...
I always enjoy the night ights of the Salt Lake Valley UT especially when seen from a high vantage point.
For the past month or more, most of my meetings have been daytime. Evening jaunts have allowed me to use TRAX across the Valley floor .Mostly my nights have been in a more reserved Sandy UT. Of course it is now darker earlier also.
I have just returned from a trip to the higher parts, the knolls, of Draper at the southern end of of the Salt Lake Valley. All the joys of observing the city expanse to the north and west from under the heights of the Wasatch Front.
Peak traffic, now after dark, produces long lines of lights; the populace seeking out their homes after a hard day.
Always new traffic lane variations for the unwary and the away-from-their-home visitors. Perhaps confusion with swollen numbers here for Thanksgiving.
Draper UT offers palatial homes that hug the heights. A daytime drive might leave you thinking you are in Fantasy Land; night time usually is more subdued. not so tonight.
Extensive seasonal lights, if a bit earlier than normal, are out in profusion in Draper UT. Entire homes are delineated by abundance of light and color - the height achieved in some displays is truly amazing. Add some snow as Christmas approached for a mindnumbing blast of decoration, a must see.
Parks, and underpasses of Draper UT, already decorated, seem to encourage this plethora of festive lighting throughout the city.
Draper has its decorations out early, obviously throwing out a challenge to re rest of the Salt Lake Valley UT
