Thanksgiving Traditions - What are Yours?

Pasta is always a part of our Thanksgiving tradition, and Christmas, and Easter and, and, and....it's such an Italian thing.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I focus on Pumkin Pie that the most important dish on the table!

I think it is always important to include those that do not have family to go to during this holiday Silvia!

I curious to see these non-traditional dishes that you are having.  :)

Good Morning Silvia, my Thanksgiving table also has the non-traditional foods, there will be many Turkish and Russian side dishes, of course Turkey, dressing are the main dishes. For the first time, we won't be having Thanksgiving at my house but if we were, there will be leg of lamb as the "other meat".

Silvia, no green bean casserole here either, my friends wanted baked beans instead.    Turkey is on the menu, and really wanted to smoke it outside, which still may happen.   The weather should be near 50.

Silivia I love Turkey.  A fresh bird though. I have a special recipe for stuffing with chestnuts in it that my mom makes that is to die for, a lot of work, it has to be frsh, no canned chestnuts.

Turkey with all the dressings, mashed potatoes, green beans (slow cooked in fat back. southern style!) corn, cornbread, biscuits, pumpkin pie, apple pie, football game, nap!

Not cooking this year... but blessed to be enjoying the day with family and friends... that means more to us than any Turkey... Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Silvia

Silvia looks like we have a similar tradition.  My wife and I also do not have family close by so we invite others who do not have family near by as well and college kids from our Church who are not going home for Thanksgiving.

This year it will be a smaller crowed because most of them have decided to travel, but it will be a great time with those that are still coming over.

Silvia ....we have all of Aimee's family here for a few days ...it's always a lot of fun to have family around!

Happy Thanksgiving Silvia. We are going to my brother in law's house for Thanksgiving, Christmas to cousin's house and my husband Andy will cook for the Easter - all the relatives will come to our house.

There is no green bean casserole on my Thanksgiving table either - it is a banned item!

We are spending it with family and some new friends. Turkey and dressing are on the menu. Have a truly Blessed Day my Friend.
