I've never been a big fan of Black Friday shopping. Yes, I have tried it a time or two, but the crowds and WAY too early start times just don't seem worth it to me. But the other reason I'm not a fan, is that I would MUCH rather shop local!
And one of the best ways I know to shop local is to head to the local holiday bazaars. I find unique items, creative items, handmade items. And can feel good about helping support other local entrepreneurs!
So this Friday, you will not find me at any of the big stores, despite all their advertising and attempts to lure shoppers in with bargains galore. I will head to the bazaar at Thurston County Fairgrounds to do my shopping. And they open at noon Friday - I do like that quite a bit better than venturing out at oh dark thirty!
