The other day I received a last minute inquiry about looking at property here at Fishhawk Lake. All I got from the inquiry was a link from one of my listed properties and the single word "Interested!" Well, right around holidays, we all know that you get your "lookie lous" which is what WE call them around here. People who have dreams, days off around a holiday, and they just want to look. And I'm thinking this is one of them. So, I shot back a message about pre-approval before doing anything else. Well!!! If I could describe this couple as if they were a hotel, they'd be four stars! And I loved the comment they added in a follow-up e-mail, "We are not wasting your time". So, I said okay to showing property the day before Thanksgiving.
Well, they were truly wonderful to work with. They saw the value in each property, gave great feedback, took the time to sit in adirondack chairs and BREATHE and take in all of the quiet beauty that Fishhawk Lake can offer those seeking solace from a crazy urban world. I loved these two!
They weren't disparaging, but saw something positive in every property I showed them here at Fishhawk Lake. They gave me great feedback, understanding the nuances of what this quiet country community can offer people who want to raise young children to learn how to fish, appreciate nature, hike and take in the wildlife and quiet that this remote place can offer someone looking to "get away from it all". I thoroughly enjoyed them and thought that they would be a perfect pair (who are expecting their first child soon) to grace this place I call home. One of my favorite moments was when they sat down on a couch in one of the cabins, took in the silence and in hushed tones, the husband said rather in awe, "It's so quiet."
They've already e-mailed my favorite loan officer (who also owns property up here) and they've honed in on a certain lakefront property to seriously consider. As we stood at the clubhouse, looking out at gorgeous Fishhawk Lake with the water creatures making their flapping sounds and slipping over the surface with their triangular wakes forming in the water, the wife asked, "now where is our home here from the clubhouse??" I thought to myself, mmmmhmmmmm....good signs!
