I am so fortunate...I am perhaps one of the wealthiest people in the world...I have riches beyond my most wildest imagination as a kid...I never ever dreamed of having the fortunes that I have.
Money you think? Naw. I do not have a ton of money...no bill collectors knocking...but no pot of gold either!
What I have is worth so much more! What I have is Love and Happiness!
What I have is a beautiful and wonderful wife, Robyn; a gorgeous and intelligent daughter Jaime; and a handsome and talented son Jacob...who has an awesome girlfriend Taylor that I definitely hope becomes part of the family some day.
I have some great siblings...many great in-laws...and a great relationship with all of them.
I am so fortunate to have a decent roof over my head...good health throughout our family...food in the fridge...gas in the trucks...and enough available funds to keep the bill collectors at bay through the winter.
I would have none of that without the Soldiers who serve (and their families)...and those who came before us...generations who sacrificed for a better future...one that I get to enjoy and share with my children and someday their children.
I know I am fortunate and I know that I am one of the richest people in the world! And I give thanks...not just on this special day...but everyday.
And finally, I give thanks to the 30 years of great friendship I had with my sisters husband before we lost him early this year. Thanks Brother Bill for so many great laughs...and for being a part of my life...
